Ohtani played through the World Series with the injury.

LOS ANGELES, CA: Shohei Ohtani underwent arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to address a torn labrum in his left shoulder, the Dodgers confirmed. The team is optimistic he'll be ready for Spring Training, although it's uncertain how the recovery process will impact his timeline for returning to the mound.

Ohtani injured his non-throwing shoulder during an attempted steal of second base in Game 2 of the World Series. Initially, the Dodgers labeled the injury as a subluxation, or partial dislocation. The surgery to repair the labrum tear was carried out by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles.
