Amad netted a second-half brace to give United three points.
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND: A tumultuous 24/25 season showed showed slight signs of improvement in Manchester United's latest Europa League outing. In the wake of Erik Ten Hag's dismissal as United manager, the club has seen an improvement in results under interim manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy. With the board under heavy scrutiny for prolonging Ten Hag's ineffective tenure, there is mounting pressure for the season to turn around.
After a goalless first half, United found the net five minutes into the second half thanks to an Amad Diallo header. The game was locked at 1-0 until the 77th minute, when Amad followed up his first goal with an even better second goal, curling an effort past the helpless Kotarski.
United claimed all three points in an evening that felt like the start of a new beginning. Next up, they will face Leicester at home before the international break, when Ruben Amorim will begin his reign as Manchester United manager.
