Terminology and being educated on the different identities are important to this community. LGBTQ+ youth struggled with finding terms that they could relate to and often couldn't find ways to describe their identity. The orientation “asexual”, when previously googled only showed asexual producing plants like ferns but with a critical catalog, the searched term begins to show asexual in the LGBTQ+ context. These terms are part of people's identities and it's important to represent them and their work.
