Nala Ali

As an illustrator, I’m mainly interested in creating cute and colorful works of art. Growing up, I’ve always had a liking to things of that nature, so I try to reflect that in some of my art. When it comes to illustrations, I prefer to create them digitally, but I also do traditional work from time to time.

Evert Bolanos is a Fresno native digital Illustrator. His work is characterized as bold, vibrant, and minimal. Evert finds inspiration for his illustrations from his surrounding environment as well as his life experiences and family.

Jennifer Calles

Jennifer Calles is digital artist, born and raised in Fresno, California. She will be graduating California State University, Fresno with a BFA in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Illustration. When illustrating, she likes to use traditional art and references to her everyday life to create digital illustrations. Her digital illustrations consist of flat & simple backgrounds and character work. She hopes to enter the industry and significantly use her skills and abilities to create illustrations.

I really enjoy the process of concept building and I express it through drawings of scenery. Bringing people into a fantasy world through art is my ultimate goal.

From small sketches to large scale projects, my art is a personal reflection of myself and/or of the world around me. My mind is constantly racing with thoughts and ideas that I ultimately put on the page and show in my creations.
It wasn’t without the love and support of my friends and family that made my dreams come true.

Katherine Hernandez

Katherine Hernandez is an illustrator based in Del Rey, California. She is currently attending California State University of Fresno where she will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Illustration. Katherine has always enjoyed art and started taking art classes in fourth grade. Katherine’s illustration style is influenced by animated movies, video games, and anime. She uses an assortment of colors, shapes, and figures to represent a variety of themes. Most of her artwork consists of original characters of which she hopes to one day create a comic or graphic novel for.

Chad Kliewer

Chad Kliewer is a graphic designer/illustrator from Fresno, CA. His inspirations are Cartoon Network, DC comics, and street graffiti artists such as Futura and KAWS. He uses bright colors and unique perspectives to create psychedelic/abstract scenes as well as using expressionistic techniques in his portrait illustrations.

Hi, my name is Jimmie Lee. I was born and raised in Fresno, California. Growing up I’ve always enjoyed video games, anime, movies, music, and drawing. One of my biggest influences growing up were Jrpg games, like Pokemon, which made me interested in studying, drawing creatures, and exploring nature. My art is mostly inspired by fantasy themes, video games, nature, life, and my own imagination. I like to draw things that express myself and are fun or cool to look at.

Alexander Ramirez

I am a 23 year old illustration student at Fresno state. I grew up in California and have been here my whole life. I started wanting to be an illustrator in my sophomore year in highschool, but I had been looking at videos of speed paints and watching artists create illustrations on YouTube well before that. My goal is to one day create a comic, maybe not something super popular, I just want it to be good enough for people to enjoy reading it.

My name is Yvette Robles, I am a Graphic Design artist with the emphasis of Illustration. I am to graduate from Fresno State University with my Bachelors of Fine Arts. I was born and raised in Fresno CA as the eldest child of five siblings and I hope to become a good role model for them. My inspirations come from nature, video games, and Sci-fi/Fantasy concepts. My goals are to create illustrations that feel out-worldly and unfamiliar yet catches the eyes of people. This can include but no limited to, Portraits, Concept arts, Fan Arts, and comic influence. I also have a passion to create a graphic novel/long strip of stories that fulfil the desire of emotional journey and exploration of possibilities.

I am a digital concept artist who specialize in creating humanoid creatures in a nature scenery. My inspiration comes from anime, in which, developed my passion to create humanoid characters. The idea of this theme is none other than my imagination and how creative anything can become a character. So, I decided to create my own fantasy world to demonstrate it.

Sandra Xiong

Hi, SANDRA XIONG here! I am an Illustrator who is currently trying to bring her own manga(mah-n-ga) story to life. I specialize in drawing anime(a-ni-me) art styles but occasionally will draw or paint realistic things. Other things to know about me is that I enjoy doing lots of arts and crafts and would even draw some fan art on the side. I hope that one day, I will be able to start a small business on my own arts and crafts. Fun facts about me is that I absolutely love anime with a burning passion and I have a pug puppy name, Guppy. 🙂

Kiran Yang is a Hmong American illustrator who strives to bring awareness about her culture through her art. She is mostly known for her character illustrations which are greatly inspired by games, movies, and fashion.
